How to take your own measurements:It's probably best if you have a friend take your measurements,but you can also take your own quite accurately.You will need a flexible tape measure,or a piece of string that you can measure with a ruler. Tips: *It is best to do measurements in your undergarments,or snug fiting bodywear *for skirts or pants,you should wear shoes that you would normally wear *always start at the zero end of tape Chest or Bust- measure around chest area,over the fullest part of your bust or across nipples for men
Waist-bend to the side and note where your natural waist is, and measure there being sure to not pull tape to tight. if you are measuring a child,place tape around the fullest part of belly
Hip- find your hipbones and measure around them,or wherever you like your skirt or pants to sit
Inseam-place zero end of tape in your groin and run the tape down to where you want your hem to fall,being sure to keep tape against body
Outer Seam-for skirts or pants place zero end either on the side of your natural waist or hip,depending on wear you want garment to sit.Run the tape down to where you'd like the hem of garment to fall
Shoulder-measure from one end of shoulder bone to the other
